Shibori & Marigold Natural Dye Workshop

October 3, 10-1 pm

This is an introduction to natural dyeing using bountiful marigolds grown by Courtney at Jewells in Bloom. In Kristen’s backyard studio in NW Philly, we’ll explore the possibilities of immersion dyeing with a focus on creating patterns using the ancient practice of shibori, a resist-dye technique with folds, rubber bands and clamps.

Dahlia Workshop (Part 2)

How to dig, divide and store tubers during winter

Saturday November 14, 10-12 pm

Bring your tubers with you to this session and we will teach you how to divide them, dry them and store them safely to plant the next year. This will also include a follow up discussion about part 1- how the growing went during the summer and answering any questions that come up. Storage supplies will be included in ticket cost for 3 clumps of dahlia tubers.

Dahlia Arranging Workshop

Come frolic through peak dahlia season with me! We’re spending the morning turning these petal-packed beauties into whimsical, professional-grade masterpieces. Your ticket covers the whole spread: premium dahlias, tools, a chic vase, and all my best arranging secrets.
